"I am deeply passionate about helping people heal, build authentic connections, achieve life goals, and live fulfilling, balanced lives. With over five years of experience in social work, and a previous Master’s degree in Critical Sociology, with a focus on Global Indigenous Studies, my work explored the social, political, and economic factors that shape our lived experiences, from health and mental well-being to socio-economic status, cultural identity, and gender. This comprehensive lens enhances my approach in therapy with an awareness of how interconnected factors influence mental health and individual life experiences.
My therapeutic approach incorporates a variety of techniques, including Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I customize my interventions to suit each client’s unique needs, utilizing tools such as genograms and client drawings to deepen understanding and enhance therapeutic progress.
As a mother of three adult children, I have personally navigated many of the challenges common in this stage of life, including the complexities of parenting, educational systems, extracurricular activities, dealing with serious illness, divorce, and the cultural adaptation required through immigration. I am here to support you in overcoming your challenges!"
